system graduating from a Washington
County High School.
- I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Social
Sciences with an emphasis in Political
Science from Portland State University.
- I have been married 23 years to Timothy
Strelchun who works for Intel.
- We have two children at Glencoe. They
both attended Evergreen and Jackson.
- I have been an active volunteer in and
out of the classroom for over 15 years.

Tireless Advocate

Built relationships with local and state leaders as part of
promoting improved education funding and public education
policy.

Supported increases in Career Technical Education and
vocational training.

Championed improving the number of education options in
Hillsboro from Hillsboro Online Academy to STEM options,
a K-8 option and City View Charter school.

Assisted with district goals and work that prioritized
equitable practices for all students including dual language
education and improved instructional practices for our diverse
range of learners.

and learn first-hand from students, building staff and district

district advancement including the Long Range Planning
Committee, College Career Pathways Committee, Teacher Evaluation

Continued to volunteer in elementary classrooms, the Glencoe
counseling center and with the Hillsboro Schools Foundation.
